Therapist Associate. I obtained my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and graduate Certificate

Reaching out for mental health care for yourself and/or your family can be hard, but you have
taken some of the first steps towards a better life.
Providing therapy is the culmination of my life’s calling to help facilitate deep,
meaningful change for others. I have worked with families with teens/tweens from many backgrounds seeking help
with strengthening their relationships. I believe we all innately already possess what we need to
heal and experience joy, but sometimes need help finding ways to remove the obstacles to this.
The clients/couples/families with teens I work with are the experts of their lives, and I partner with them to bring
out their natural strengths.
I focus on working with couples and families with teens facing a variety of challenges such as
anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma that is impacting these relationships. I also work
with individuals seeking help with similar issues. I pull from many types of therapy approaches,
but often lean towards Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy,
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. The work we do will be
tailored to what works best for you and your needs. I am an LGBTQIA+, disability, racial and
social justice ally. I strive to create a safe, open space for those who identify with many in my
office.
I was fortunate to be born and raised on Whidbey Island. I have lived in various places throughout Western Washington in my adult life, and absolutely love this corner of the world.
I am an
avid hiker/backpacker throughout the mountains and forests of the Cascades and Olympics,
where I recharge my batteries. I also love yoga, writing, dancing, and other creative endeavors.

Welcome, I am glad you made it! My name is Maxie. Washington became home for me in 2016 after living in the Southwest majority of my life. I am married and have three young kiddos. I have found a love of working alongside individuals who find themselves struggling with finding purpose and identity. Whether you are a new parent working your way back to yourself (or your partner), a teen struggling with depression, anxiety, or finding your sense of self, or maybe you're someone who struggles with grief and loss, I am ready to walk with you through it.
I believe that healing begins once we can be honest with ourselves. Although my approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental, I am also authentic, direct, and honest with my clients. I work with and for you. My job as your therapist is to not just help you to get past your hardships but help you feel prepared to be able to handle future ones.
I use a combination of person-centered, strength-based, CBT, and EMDR treatments depending on the personal treatment plan we create together to reach your goals. You don't need to do hard things alone. I am ready to get started when you are.

grandmother. In 2021, I followed in my grandmother’s footsteps and received a Masters in
