Katie has always had a passion for serving others. Her husband retired from the U.S. Army in June of 2021 after 20 years of service during which time Katie had the privilege of volunteering and working with military families within his units in various capacities. She quickly learned the challenges that military families face as individuals and in relationship to having to frequently relocate, endure deployments, and manage other mental and emotional obstacles. Katie's experiences and desire to serve others led her to add on to her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Louisville and achieve her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Katie works primarily with teens, adults, and couples providing therapy in treating relationship issues, depression, anxiety, anger, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. She has experience in working with military families and is LGBTQ+ friendly. She is committed to helping clients feel more empowered, develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving by tapping into their own strengths and finding meaning and purpose in their lives. The theoretical approaches Katie uses include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Gottman, Positive Psychology, and Strength-Based Therapy.
In her spare time, you can find Katie gardening, biking, hiking, taking a Zumba class, spending time with family, and watching documentaries.

I am a military spouse to a U.S. Army soldier (JBLM) and a mother of 2 loving boys & 2 female Frenchies. I was born in the Philippines, raised in Guam, and moved to Oahu, Hawaii where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing in community mental health as a LMHCA in the State of Washington since 2018. Overall, I possess 8+ years of progressive experience within Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, and Addictions field. I am a wholehearted person-centered psychotherapist. In my work and personal life, I am passionate about integrating the mind, body, and soul. I provide a non-judgmental space and unconditional positive regard incorporating research-based practices. While my treatment modalities align with Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy—I'm adept at tailoring my approach to the unique needs of each of my clients. I work with adolescents (13+) and adults. I help with the process of healing depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. Together, we can explore underlying inner childhood traumas, attachment/abandonment issues, and interpersonal conflict. Sometimes the source of the hurt is clearly known, other times it’s waiting to be discovered. My main purpose is to help others reach their potential in living a happy, healthy, and satisfying life.

travel to new places and experience different cultures and foods. My therapeutic philosophy
integrates various techniques and insights from my mentors during my master’s practicum. I
firmly believe that each individual possesses the inherent capacity to navigate their challenges;
they often just need time and a safe space to explore and discover these solutions.
As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for you. I am committed to
embracing neurodiversity, affirming LGBTQ+ identities, and promoting a sex-positive outlook. I
employ a mindfulness-based approach to help clients expand their coping strategies and
enhance their overall well-being. My ultimate goal for my clients is to equip them with the tools

At first, I wanted to return to my home country. However, I did not give up and decided to stay and pursue grad school. I graduated from the University of Washington with a Master's degree in
Social Work, specializing in mental health in 2020. Today, Seattle has been my home for eight years and counting! When I am not working, I am spending time with my friends. I love watching movies, traveling, reading, and skiing.
I love being a psychotherapist. I've always been passionate about supporting others in their
struggles and recovery paths. My purpose is to allow my clients to feel heard, seen, and valued. I focus on genuine connection non, non-judgmental approach, and empathy. I use my sense of humor and listening to provide a space for growth and healing.
I have experience working with diverse populations. I specialize in providing individual therapy for adults (21+) who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and relational
issues. The principal techniques I implement are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye
Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I personalize treatment plans with each individual, as each of us has a unique social environment, challenges, and resources.
When it comes to mental health services, one size does not fit all. I believe that each individual possesses wisdom, unique values, and strength. I help individuals to identify their wisdom and
cultivate their strength to live the life that they want within their own principles and values.

My favorite part about being a therapist is getting to listen and understand a person’s
story. Many people are feeling hurt, stressed, anxious, worried, misunderstood, and
unsure about change. Life can push and pull us into many directions until we feel lost
and disconnected. As a therapist, I get the opportunity to listen, offer new perspectives,
help problem solve, and support people to become the best version of themselves. Our
thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected and changing one can create positive and
supportive change in the others. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families
to learn skills to create positive change and go after the life they want, a life they have
worked to transform for the better. I have worked with individuals who are struggling
with stress and anxiety, dealing with emotional abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder,
trauma, and negative self-talk. Self-awareness is often the first step in understanding
and process how we feel. Allowing ourself to identify and feel our feelings rather than
suppressing them or distracting ourselves from them can allow us to free ourselves to
focus on improving our lives.
I was born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington. I have worked as a substance use
disorder professional, care manager for the elderly, supported struggling families,
worked with children and teenagers as a school counselor, and as a mental health
therapist. I adapt my therapeutic approach to each person’s goals and build on their
strengths. You will be an active participant in identifying goals and providing feedback
on progress. Therapy begins with identifying the life you want, setting and working
towards goals, and achieving the life you create.
